Mine crept up to 19 yesterday and dotay dropped down to nothing, just the 1 on the left side of the display. This is what is displayed if the probe is disconnected.
Anyone had this happen?
Should I just order a new probe or the whole thing?

Thanks
Don

That sucks Don, Sounds like the meter is toast. If you want you can try my probe.

Check the battery. Mine went ape nuts, but didn't give me the low battery signal. I put a new battery in, and it was just fine. (Until I accidently dropped it into my sump last week) New one arrived yesterday. What a putze!

Don - I also would try a new battery first, if you haven't done so. Did you check to see if there was anything stuck to the bottom of the probe? If none of these work, then you could probably get a new probe or try bigT's to see if it is just the probe or the unit.

I got a pinpoint monitor from the Docs for 89.00. They probably weren't the best deal in town, but could get it here quick, and no one local had one.

Thanks for all the replies. I did soak the probe for a few hours in cal soulution and it started displaying again but will not calibrate. The 7 setting will not balance out with the 10. So I guess I should assume bad probe?? I didnt try a new battery since it was only a few day old, but I will have to try tonight.

Thanks
Don

Hey Don, maybe you should try soaking your probe in some vinager? I don't know if that would kill it or not.

Tom,
I do that every sunday morning and keep the thing spotless. Since I could'nt get ahold of American, I called Milwaukee, they say bad probe or funky battery.

Thanks
Don

Duno Don, maybe that is what killed it? Did you tell the guys at Milwaukee that you soaked the probe weekly in vinager?

No but Ive done it every week for almost a year on this one. I only soak it for few minutes with weekly cleaning its really never dirty.
