Who is regularly testing for phosphates? If so, what test kit are you using? Anyone using a Hanna Phosphate Photometer?

The hanna colorimeter is going to be the most accurate of all. The upfront cost will pay for itself in no time. Salifert and elos can't really compare to the hanna. Hatch is a little better.

I use API may not be the best but it has never let me down so far.

every P test kit is "letting you down" wether you know it or not. None are really accurate and most can be unpredictable and reading vary by person and eyeballs.
