Thanks. I actually keep each species in it's own tank. It's necessary with the dwarfs and suggested with the large species.
Temp is kept 74-78 (all mine are tropical species - temperates and subtropicals are lower). Salinity is lower than a reef.. dwarfs are at 1.020 and others at about 1.023. PH is 8.2 - 8.3. No supplements are needed although it's a good idea to keep an eye on calcium... other elements are not vital and are generally fine with normal water changes. The only tankmates I allow are blennies, snails, some shrimp, and a couple of hermits. Oh, and the Kenya tree. Some people keep some fish with them, but most fish out compete them for food and fast movement can stress them. Anemones and stinging corals are a bad idea! All my big seahorses have been trained to eat frozen mysis; the dwarfs eat new hatched brine shimp (I'm trying to train them to frozen cyclopeeze).
They have wonderful personalities and they love attention. They are the only creatures in the world that actually enjoy my singing to them.
I'll try to attach pics of each tank. The first should be the Tigertail tank... 37 gallon with HOB refugium not shown, second the erectus tank... 20 gal (will be moving them to a larger tank soon) not a very good pic but it's in a hallway so hard to get full shot, and the third is the 3 gallon dwarf tank.
