I used 20K XM bulbs for a while...maybe not long enough to let them burn it though because they were never that white...now I am using some 15K bulbs and they are still too blue...not nearly as white as your pictures. I wonder if the blue background is playing with my eye.

I think I remember from your original thread you had M58, normal PFO, non-HQI ballasts right. Those pics look great...

wish you live just little closer,,i will frag a couple nice pieces for your tank,,
,

:) That would be cool and I could get you some from my backyard...You know where I'm from right;)

Thanks for the link...I will definately check it out and also the reply! The camera is a Nikkon coolpix. The photos are almost accurate (atleast as accurate as I have gotten them), but I think the blue could be a bit more on the royal blue side in real life rather than as aqua as the pics are. I posted some on some other threads including in my thread in the members showcase forum and some came out too blue!

As soon as image shack decides to work, I have a few more pics I'll post of my fish:)

ya, the 20k's look nice, all pics of 20k's i've seen are a lot bluer, is the tank bluer in person then your pics?

Thanks:) The color I'd say is a bit more towards a royal blue/navy blue color and no so much an aqua color. In any event, this is as close as I can get it with my camera. If I set it to auto white balance, it comes out like I am running strictly actinics. I love the real color a lot more than in the pics, but this is the closest I can get it so far. Maybe I will try again soon:)

Dylan...I copied and pasted this off of the link GBR gave me. I chose a full shot after downloading the software and this is what came up
