I went out and bought the largest air pump i could find at that oh so nice store called P*($0 and also picked up a four way gang valve so I can accommodate many more cultures in the future.

I have a few questions, what are you using the phytoplankton for? and what have you done so far to get it started. Like what did you use to get it started, what is all in the container?

I am using the phytoplankton to feed my reef system as well as use a majority of the phytoplankton for a biofuel research project. So far I have built a small cabinet to house the lighting, cultures, and other culture supplies as well as order the supplies from florida aqua farms outlined in melevsreef's phytoplankton page. The bottles contain ro/di water along with the correct amount of salt mix to create a salinity of 1.022, as well as the correct amount of micro algae grow, which is basically a mixture of trace elements. The final ingredient is the phytoplankton cells.
