i noticed some weird lesions under his dorsal fin, as shown in the picture. and also some reddish/brown discoloration behind his right eye. he has been swimming with his mouth open consistently also. he hasnt eaten since i got him 2 days ago. i just got some formula 1 frozen food but he did not attempt to eat it although i am not sure if i have "trained" him to eat the frozen stuff.. since i don't know how as i am a newbie.. i would appreciate any help.... i would hate to lose him.. thanks in advance

no i dont have an anemone or coral in my tank.. i cant recall if he was netted roughly.. he might have been stressed though because i rescaped my rock because it seemd like he was having a hard time swimming against the current so i wanted to provide him with a cave

I can't tell what the white areas are, if they're lesions or something else. It almost looks like it's trauma to me. How is your water quality (i.e. list out your water parameters)? How long has your tank been set-up? What other livestock is in the tank?

Get some frozen Cyclopeeze and frozen Dapnia [liveaquaria.com has both] Small Clowns need small food :) Could also try some small mysis... once they grow some, they eat everything!

As far as the open mouth, injury during netting possibly. I have also seen photos of Isopods in the mouths of fish..Get a good look at him, watch for signs of infection.I lost a Potters due to a mouth injury:cry: Could you possibly get a better picture of the mouth and other spot?
