Well thank you kindly N & MC....truth be told, my daughter helped me out....I cheated. But I am getting the hang of it, and next batch will be taken by me! Woohoo!

J, those look great, more like the real thing! You're gonna have to show me how to do that, so I can get more true to life shots!!!! With my cheap little camera....

Sort of??? Those are great shots for your first attempt!! They might be slightly dark, but focus is great. Slightly under exposed is much better than slightly over exposed. Under exposures can usually be fixed, where over exposures are lost.

Thanks for the good words. I must admit, gets kind of frustrating not being able to catch the true coral sometimes. Especially with the really sweet pieces. But I hope you all get the idea..... and I'm gonna keep trying! Gotta share the pretty - pretty stuff!

If your camera gives you an option to set a custom white balance, do that. It'll help capture the true colors.
