Can anyone tell me the best way to place mushrooms. I just bought another mushroom (loose) and he just wonders around. I have shut off the circulating PH but he is still stubborn. I was told to use a toothpick to impale him on a rock. Is this accurate. Where do you impale it. Through the center or around the fringe of the head? Is there a chance of infection or death of the mushroom from this?

Don't impale him :D . I would either use some superglue and place him where you want, or you could get a glass or a plastic gardening basket and put it over him until he foots. It shouldn't take but a day or two for it to foot.

I just let them float free until they find a "happy" spot...it's worked well, shrooms all over my tank....

I was kind of affraid that he might get sucked into a PH intake if I let him roam. Either was I positioned him in a crevice and put a small shell against him and he is latched on tight. Woo hoo! Reproduce little bugger....Reproduce!
