Poll: Nano tank poll

Good to have Ilham (Elmo18) back and he brought up a very interesting topic so I thought I'd start a poll on it. His thread can be followed here http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/f204/defining-nano-tank-61541/ and you guys can use his thread for discussion. We will just use this spot for the actual poll results to have some figures on what the general consensus is on the topic so.....


What do you consider to be a nano tank in your opinion and not going by what you've heard?

Nano tanks are any tank that is 30 gallon and under.

So a 3 gallon would be a nano or pico?? It's under 30 gallons

My opinion is a Nano is 5 - 30 gallons. < 5 gallons is a Pico.

That is about what I understand too. This is what I have read elsewhere as to their opinion of nano and pico sizes,Nano Tank - tank under 40 gallons
Pico Tank - tank under 5.5 gallons

I think 40 is still big. I think 30 gal for nano. I have a 34 gal, but I dont consider it a nano.

3 Gallon would be borderline Pico. Pico is defined as tanks under 2.5 gallons.

I voted "other," since I consider the Salona 34 gallon AIO to be a "nano." lol

When you get into takes that are under 5 gallons, I'd consider them to be "pico."
