Hi Don,

That is 'awful' blue so I don't know if there is much that can be done and like Kendog eluded to... it is difficult to mess with someone else's photo not knowing what you are after. When I get home I will try to play with it a bit if you still are looking for something better but no promises.

All that being said... what an awesome Clam!!! I am looking forward to having clams in my new tank as I have never had them before.

I'm really just trying to figure out wether or not it worth the bucks. I figured if you guys could fix one of my lousy pics with photoshop it would be worth it.

don

go to half priced books there by the mall and pick up a used photoshop cd and save a bunch of money. you dont need the latest version.

Don,

Photoshop is a seriously powerful program and most people neve tap its potential. That being said... it will not recover a photo that is really 'off'. For most people photoshop elements is the way to go. One tip is if you can shoot 'raw' mode it will allow much more latitude with post processing.

I tried to pull some of the blue out, but since that's a majority of the color data I couldn't get much without losing all the detail.

A little sharpening helped, but its pretty difficult with the resized image. I could probably do a lot better with the fullsized one.

Funny jsm... I was in Sand Point today and braved the snow and cold. I am back in my Redmond abode tonight and the snow is finally gone... and I love snow.

Don:

If your camera allows you to set the white balance on it try taking a few new pictures in the "shade" setting.

I think that would help with the blue hue.

Hey Don I would love to come over with my Nikon D70 and My Nikkor 105mm macro lens and take some photo's for you.. I have fun with my Camera..

Ok Don, I took a stab at it just for fun. In order to do some real work on it I would need the original sized picture. Like I said go see Tom, he can hook you up and teach you some easy techniques to make your pictures look good. like Dylan said you end up loosing some of the detail after a point...need the original picture.
