I have posted several post in the last few moments, I just have so many questions.

If you can not afford to get a generator. Are there any other ways to keep your tank going in the event of a blackout.

Battery powered aquarium pumps can be a definate plus especially during the night when you are unable to attend to the tank. It's effectiveness will greatly depend on tank size though. A few of those and some bubble wands will work great for smaller tanks with lighter bioloads. They can also be used in pails to areate smaller amounts of water and keep swapping it out every ½ hour or so with tank water. Not the best solution for long term outages but at least something. Wrapping the tank in a blanket or two can also help keep in the heat some. Just don't block the tank top and be sure to remove any solid lids to improve on gas exchange and keep pH stable. Especially where a sump is used as the main suface area for gas exchange.

Cheers
Steve
