I purchased a striped fang blenny a month or month and a half ago from Barrier Reef. It had been in the store for over a month, and was sharing a tank with another striped fang blenny. I remember them saying it was odd they were happy, because its usually one per tank.

After getting it home, I noticed its belly starting to grow. I was just out of town for the weekend, and got back tonight and noticed its belly is markedly bigger.

I've been thinking it was possibly pregnant (or diseased), but after seeing the large increase in belly size after being out of town, I'm pretty sure its pregnant.

I've looked around on the internet, but can't find much info on breeding these. Anyone have experience?

Anyway, I'm assuming the babies are going to die, as I don't have any special tank set up (although I do have a spare 10 sitting around.)

Any info would be great though, if anyone has experience.

Most likely there would need to be a male present during her birth for the eggs to get fertilized. So at the moment she may be gravid but the eggs are probably not viable without a male present.
