As a result of a few changes, we have had to revamp our premium membership perks from the original set of premium membership perks. The following changes have taken place:

1. No longer offering web space to premium members. Due to occasional server attacks that are vulnerable to insecure scripts and access to insecure areas of the server, we are no longer able to offer the free web sites to be able to control the security of our servers better.

2. The edit post feature for registered members has been removed due to some misuse over the last months of this feature. We feel that although it is a valuable feature, it is not a feature that is detrimental to the use of the site if not available to the majority of the members.

However, in light of the above changes, the following have been updated for Premium Members:

1. The amount of photo gallery space has been increased to 20 MB of space. Registered users get 2 MB of space. Premium members will now receive 20 MB up from 10 MB.

2. The photo gallery upload file size has been increased. Registered members are allowed to upload 100k files. Premium members can now upload 200k files up from 125k file sizes.

3. Private message space has been increased. Registered members receive storage for 100 private messages at a time. Premium members receive 500 messages at a time (up from 350).

4. Premium members are allowed to edit their own posts. Since there are a certain set of our members that really like this feature, we have elected to add this feature to the premium membership list of perks.

5. A Reef Frontiers email address ([email protected]) available upon request for our Premium Members.

6. Premium Membership cost has been reduced to $50 per year from $55 if a year is what you wish to sign up for.

As always, membership to Reef Frontiers is FREE and will remain so, but for those who wish to have some added perks or even to just "support" Reef Frontiers, the Premium Membership is available. I am sorry for any inconvenience our web space item has given to some of our already premium members as well as any inconvenience our post editing feature may cause you, but feel this is a nice compromise.

Signing up for premium membership can be done through your control panel if you are interested at http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/payments.php with payment via paypal. If you need to pay via check, you can always contact me directly.

Thanks for your understanding.

I highly disagree.

The Rf post count tax is next. 14000 x your .02 cents = $280. to Chuck....LOL

LMBO!.

well i'm gonna miss editing my bad spelling which means i'm probably gonna have to watch out for Krish   ....... at least it'd give me time to look in the dictionary :p.

I have re-enabled editing of posts for the time being. The main reason being that there are many functions when composing a post that will make you need to edit the post. One being the use of specialized tags, such as IMG which everyone makes mistakes now and again. Because of this type of reason I feel the need for the edit button is highly desired.

Please do not use the edit feature to do things such as, change descriptions of items being sold, or to change the brand names of items being sold (especially after agreements are made). This can lead to a large amount of confusion and concerns on all parties. All I ask is that you are very considerate of others and make conscious decisions when using the edit button.

I may consider in the future to put a time limit on posts that can be edited however, I am still thinking about that one.

Thanks Mr. Chuck I would really, really miss the edit button. I used it yesterday so I guess I missed the whole thing. I'm glad. :)

Sid...At the bottom right side of each post you have already made, there should be a edit tab right next to the quote tab. Just click on it and it will allow you to make your changes:)

Here is another question since we are asking questions, how do you search a "phrase"? Like drilled tank and get the phrase "drilled tank" and not individual words, drilled and tank???

LOL Wow. Next question...how do you get the RF logo and the New to hobby and other links at the bottom of your post? Is that just by adding them to your signature? I've only recently figured out how to add links, but they just show up as a plain link.

You can get the banners in this link http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1509 . Just find one you like and add it to your signature. You will have to remove the spaces as explained in the link for it to work and as for how I have a title underlined that is an actual link you can click on you just do it like this

Click underlined link for pictures of Sid's tank ....And below is how it looks typed out. All you'll have to do is remove the red "S" I have after the first tag for it to work:) [Surl=http://www.kodakgallery.com/mlhamilton/reef]Sid's tank [/url]
