Preskimmer box for HOB refugium

Has anyone used the CPR preskimmer box?

I bought a HOB refugium skimmer andwant to be able to get the top of the water and was wondering if you guys like it over the AquaC skimmer box. Also any pics or threads on the boxes would be great. I searched but can't seem to find any.
