My porcupine puffer is acting very sluggish He isn't eating and almost seems to have a hump to his back. Parameters are ok.

Please actually post the water parameters. No offense but "ok" reveals little
Alk, pH, ammonia, nitrate, salinity, temp etc
What tank mates, what is the regular diet fed/how often, when was the last water change?

sounds like he was taken out of the tank to show how he puffs up and due to the intake of air on a regular basis now has an air pocket trapped on his back makeing him struggle to swim under water.Sometimes this will go away or can be helped with gentle presure[while under water replacing it with water which is easyer for him to expel

Certainly not. My fish are not toys. I would NEVER purposely scare one of them. He has since died, and from what I have found from other sources, probably had a tumor.
