yes they are purple hornets. its just too bad that the prices for em have gone way down.
Why is it "too bad" that the prices have gone down? That's a pretty strange statement to make, unless you're only interested in making money off of them.

cuz once the price goes down, so does the hype and popularity for it.
Corals that reach that type of hype are typically a fad. Once the "newness" wears off, the price drops dramatically, allowing more hobbyists to afford them. Paying $300/polyp is just ridiculous, IMO. Once more hobbyists are able to obtain a specific coral, more can be learned about the best environment to keep it in, for the best color, health, speed of growth...etc. If the coral deserves the popularity, based on color retention, speed of growth, etc., it'll keep it's popularity, even if it is more affordable. Look at some of the LE encrusting Montiporas that were so expensive a year ago. They've come down in price, considerably, but still retain their popularity.
