Pyramid Butterfly ( Hemitaurichthys Polylepis)

Would like to hear from anyone that has this fish in their tank.

I have one in my 200 sps tank. I also have acans, zoas and scollys the BF has not even look twice at any of my corals. I would recommend it if you have at least a 125 or bigger.
We named our pigpen because of his dirty face.

Barrier Reef has one in their display. It's been a model citizen for 4 month now.

Kevin has 2 or 3 in his display. Charlie also has 2, I think, in his tank. Pyramids are considered a very reef safe Butterfly fish.

I had 2, both are not here!!! They were great fish!!!!! Never picked at anything they shouldn't!!!

Another nice thing about them is they are not aggresive towards each other so you can keep 1,2 or 10. Nice fish i am very happy with mine.

I just saw at least two of them at Saltwater City in Bellevue today.

I had it for about 2.5 years and I came home from work one day and it was dead???? Needless to say, it wasn't a good night after that. No marks on it at all!!!

Hello,
They are quite hardy as long as they arrive in good condition. One of the easiest Butterflies to get eating. They also eat Aiptasia anemones but leave corals alone. They are always out and very sociable. A great reef fish IMO.
