I have a question i fed the lion fish ghost shrimp today and is it normal for them to follow the ghost shrmip on the ground and chomp at it a few times mising it and then getting him in his belly... That is so much fun to see them stalking there prey....Love these fish

I've never owned a Lion, but the ones I have observed have killed with stunning precision and accuracy. Unless for some reason he is toying with it?? I think something is fishy. No pun intended.

Some fish infections are partially treated by no light. At least in freshwater fish that is the case. Maybe he has an eye infection are is just ill?? Are his eyes puffy or milky at all?

nope he looks fine. At the lfs in the back of the shop they have over 100 tanks or more. Some tanks have light and other tanks dont maybe its to save money and not run lights all day.

Lion Fish

I have had many Lion Fish over the years and some are just better hunters with better aim than others, Just keep an eye on him but I think that he will be fine.

I agree, As long as he's eating. What difference does it make if it takes him 2-3 try's instead of 1. The key thing he's getting food.
