do galaxy corals attach themselves to rocks at all? i just moved mine and he was kinda hard to pick up. i'm not sure if its because he was wedged into the rock or if he was attached somehow

I understand that they can spread rapidly in the wild and have a poor history of success in aquariums. If you can get a very healthy colony it can grow and survive. In E. Bornemans he has a picture of one incrusting onto liverock on page 262. They have up to 12" sweeper tentcles to sting other corals

yeah i've had mine for quite some time now, and its doing fabulously. i noticed it kind of stinging my bubble coral, so i moved it

They cant move on thier own pulleygirl, but they can grow onto nearby surfaces. Congrates on your sucess

Mine has done fine for over a year and grow from baseball to softball size. I really like the looks but it has killed at least a dozen sps frags. Do they do better with softies?? I'm considering moving it to my daughter tank if they do. If not it will have to find a new home.
