Question about Ghost shrimp

Ok does anyone have problems keeping the ghost shrimp alive?? I have a 10 gal tank with hob and cheap lights. I dont have a heater would that cause them to die off???? I change the water every 2 weeks...the lfs have them in tanks without lights ...

If I remember correctly, ghost shrimp can not survive in a saltwater tank as they are not marine shrimp. They have to be kept in a fresh tank and fed by hand. If you're trying to keep these for food for your fish I would go with these

i have a fresh water tank for them

and its just a few that die its not all of them.. I buy 2 dozen and i would say 5 would die the next day.. Then i dont have anymore die

My bad. My only guess is do you acclimate them or just throw them in? As far as other things I'm not quite sure. Other than if the parameters are in check and the temp doesnt get too awfully cold.

i think i know whats wrong i just throw them in next time i will set them in there
