I just got a small Millepora sp.(real millepora, not a. millepora) colony and after a hermit crab crawled over it there seemed to be brown spots on it. I am not sure if this is where the hermit crab was stepping or not. Do Millepora sp. have a tendency to do this?

tough to say from the general; description. But I am sure that a hermit crab crawling across it is natural and tolerated.

Yeah, sorry for the crappy description. I wasn't really worried just wondering what it was. Basically it looks as though there are tiny brownish dots sporadically on the coral. I was just wondering if this is a normal thing for a Millepora sp. to do. I was thinking that it was maybe because it was trying to sting the hermit crab. I'm not quite sure the exact mechanism but I was thinking that it had something to do with the fact that they have gastropores and dactylopores. I just have never seen any sps coral do this before and it got me wondering. Thanks again
