Ive been getting like a White haze on the inside of my Black Stand. I keep My 30 Gallon Sump Refugium and Pumps in the stand. With the Light on the Refugium on all the time. The Haze is on the Walls and the Upper part of the Stand Inside. Pretty Much Anywhere inside theres a white Haze. Ive Been Trying to Just wipe down with Hot Water once in awhile. Have not Noticed any Problems with the tank due to this. But is there any Health Concerns from this to be aware of. Or a Better way to keep this from Happening. There is only 2 Holes on the back of the stand and there just big enough to fit your cords through.Should i look into cutting out more of the back for more air or what? Ideas would be great. I do feel like when im in the stand doing things my eyes feel like they are irritated. Just might be in my head who knows. I dont get a strong fume from the inside either. Any Comment that can be helpful appreciated.
Thanks
Scott
Will take pics if necessary. I just cleaned it up so ill have to look if i have any in my Pic Files.Or wait a week

I also doubt it's mold, but if it's a "white haze" and doesn't look like "crystals," I doubt it's salt creep either. It could be calcium build up. Any easy test would be to see how it cleans up with just a wet cloth. If it wipes off easily, and drops off whatever it's stuck to, when you wipe it, it's salt creep. If it doesn't wipe off easily, it's probably calcium build up. Calcium build up will give you that "haze" look that you're describing.

Look at it closely and see if it appears to be "fluffy." If so, then it might just be mold. As Mark suggested, a clamp on fan will help keep the humidity down, inside the stand, which will inhibit mold growth.
