Question on mushroom behavior

This photo was taken soon after feeding. Some of the pellets fell on this mushroom. Why is rolling up like this ?Is it feeding or is it some kinda of negative reaction ?

The only time to worry about a behavior like that is when there is a crab claw, fish tail, etc. sticking out.

Seriously, I did lose a porcelain crab to a large rhodactus once.

Also, I have seen the same "onion" behavior when adding a magnesium supplement directly to the tank, rather than to the sump.

Good. I can rest easy now. It was originally mushroom, its split to 4 already now. The one always behaving like this is the 4th one...
