quicky question on acclimating from 14k to 20k

Hey all
I am starting to toss around a few different bulbs to see color.

Does a person have to acclimate the coral from 14K to 20K?

I wouldn't think so seeing you are going too a more blue color which typically isn't as bright. I could be wrong though...

I just switched my 2 weeks ago and no problems.

As long as the 14K isn't too much older than the 20K, light depreciation over time can lessen the intensity, so switching to a different "new" bulb could harm your corals despite the output being the same (watts). If in doubt start the new bulbs a little higher than normal on your tank and lower them down gradually over time, say, a couple weeks.
