I just found out today that Randy has left his Chem forum on RC. No, he has not moved to another forum. There is a long post on RC by Randy for his reasons. This will be a great loss to the hobby and RC.

Damn, You and Randy are two of my favorite chemist. Boom is there anyway we could sway him to come to Reef Frontiers?
Anyway, whatever it is I wish Randy the Best. I sure have enjoyed the time he has put in to educate others about this hobby. I think he is the Best Chemist this hobby ever saw! No offense Boomer, I was reading his articles and still do. You just need to speak up more Boomer, lol.

If he ever did come here, I would give him my forum hands-down 
He is a great loss and I'm still lost because of it. I believe the articles will also stop. Two more to go. I'll post the first tomorrow. Randy deserves a break an big one. If I really need him he will come to answer a question or two. I have orders to inform him about chem nonsense posts that one wants to argue about. :lol:

Where ever he goes I am sure people will follow. I tried to get him to give a presentation. I would welcome the chance of any presentation RHF gave. I am not sure what happened. I welcome the chance to hear, see, or listen to RHF. I went to many Club meetings where his work was shared.

Oh...I'm sad for the loss the hobby is experiencing without Randy, or the future articles that may have helped. It would be nice for him to come give RF a visit from time to time, and give you (Boomer) a hard time ....maybe he and Bomber can gang up on you

No Sar, he will continue to keep his tanks and may vist forums. So yes, he has retired form forum life as we know him. He may even also do some visiting of local reef clubs in the Boston area.
I'm suppose to keep him informed of anyone posting nonsense on Chem In the last year there have been many losses to forums of major posters/staff/mod, most from RC.

Well, forum life is certainly not for the faint of heart. It's a blessing that Randy stayed for this long (almost 10 years, right?). I do hope he doesn't disappear altogether. At least we still have all he's already given us. He will be sorely missed.

Yes it is in the chem forum. My sig link below will take you right to the chem forum. At the bottom of the page, right side, there is a drop down menue that says "last day", make it 5 days, click go and then go to the 2nd page near bottom. As of now there are 222 posts.

Yes, he will be missed. But his legacy still exists in his Article Library and here in the Chemistry Library.

No, he has left us a key figure in this hobby. No more articles will be written and he has left RC and will no longer being answering any questions on any boards. But I sitll get to e-maill or call him if I need to. If a question really needs his attention he will reply, even here, if I ask I think he is burnt out and needs a big rest. All one has to do is look at this post count and then think how many PM he gets plus other crap he always replies to. I don't know when the h_ell he had time to sleep or if he ever sleep at all in the last 9 years.
