As some of you know, I recently got a new computer and with it I am trying out the new Apple Aperture program. With it I can shoot the pictures in RAW format and do the editing later in the software, such as touching up the exposure, white balance settings, and so on ... Here are a few pictures that I can see get closer to my tank color ... still working on it :)

Awsome Pictures

Tanks for sharing Chuck Love that Tank ! Looks so well I bet it has alot to do with them new Bulbs!;)

I like the program. It seems great for laying out your images fast. I think some of the tools are lacking in depth. Like sharpen and some others. I don't believe it is priced right for sure. I like photoshop as a whole, but it is priced even higher ... so I am torn ... haha

the software is brand new so hopefully the feature set will develop quickly and become more in depth. apple is usually really good about things like that.

i'll have to check it out after the holidays!

Looks good Chuck...A little "computerized" looking, but nevertheless good. I'm sure you'll get the editing all figured out!

Very nice, Chuck! I see you've been busy playing on the new computer :D. I owe you some razzing, I think ;). Pics look really good (and so does the tank)!

Yeah Nikki! Chuck's tank rocks bigtime! I'm still trying to get that coraline background thingy going on in mine, but coraline these days, just doesn't grow as fast as algae:rolleyes:

I like the result better with CS2, but nonetheless they all look good. On the last shot I woul've used a higher DOF and is a little hot on top. But then we're talking very high output lightning here. Taking pics of our tanks is a pain sometimes. What settings are you using Chuck?

ISO, Macro mode, Exposure, Aperture/Metering/Speed? Keep them coming. :)

I am certainly not a camera genius but I am learning more ...

This particular shot was

ISO 400
1/160
f3.5
100 mm lens

Here is another version of it post processed in CS2. Subtle changes.
