turning into a ra, what caused the bubbles to deflate? any ideas?

rbta - bt = ra

I have 3 large rbta. 2 show no sign of bubble tips, one does and it is a offspring of one of the others. The one that shows bubble tips is up next to a frogspawn. I think they show the bubbles in response to irritation.

Now no bubbles,

I wish I new why, the anemone has not moved since being placed in the tank 2 weeks ago.

Anemones will change shape and size and location on a whim. They can roll up in a ball and bounce all over the place. It can be a search for food, flow, light or just because they want new neighbors.

I've heard the same thing, that they bubble up when they're in defensive mode, and don't bubble when they're not in defensive mode. My RBTA only bubbled after I first put him into my tank, and he has never bubbled since.

sometimes they need more light, or need more food, so they expand their tentacles as much as possible to get more light, or to have a better chance to catch something to eat.

Well last night I turned off the power heads and internal pumps and wouldnt ya know when i looked this morning the bubbles were back.

Now that I am home from work and the p/h's and pumps have been on since leaving this morning the bubbles are gone again. I need the extra flow at the water surface.

My Conclusion water curent.

Looks like I need more timers.
