Nice! :D You have what I think are going to grow into impressiv corals. :D And I love that wrasse (both of them). I agree that the big one looks like the one in the Barrier Reef frag tank.

How's the yellow tang doing? Is he eating more seaweed/filling out a bit more?

Sure was nice to see your tank the other day. Looking good. Whats your trick in keeping (adding) multiple wrasses? My four line killed my latest addition within 24hrs. :(

It looks like a Christmas Wrasse to me. Halichoeres ornatissimus. I have a friend with a 6-Line, a yellow coris and a christmas wrasse all in the same 240. The yellow is the most recent addition, over a year ago, and the six line's been in there since the beginning, though he had a short time-out in the sump for bad behavior.

Jan thanks the tang is eating nori now !! He eats what he wants and some days looks more full than others I feed the nori daily now and just pick up what does not get eaten !!

Trido I got the red corris on a bit of an impulse..Yes I wanted another wrasse and had wanted one for some time..Just had not planned on the little guy :)

I watched his responce to the Tail spot Larger wrasse carefully and the first day. He acked like the corris was invisible very peacefull.. The second and third day the tail spot chased the corris away but he just got right back again at wich point they gave up and left each other alone. here anre many many hiding places that are a bit small for the tail spot but not for the juvenile corris.

Lately they both pick at the rocks more often and join in with the tang ( I love and needed that to happen) I planned on and did secure down even tighter all the corals that were loose so they won't get knocked over by anything !!!

I think sherman you were real close it is of the Halichoeres Family but it has a spot on the tail and it's not checkered as a christmas wrasse is BUT this made me look and searched under Halichoeres and belive it is the .....
TAIL SPOT WRASSE !! Also called a Melanarus wrasse .

Thanks everyone

:)

The spot on the melenurus means it is a male which also has brighter colors.
