Thanks guys

They are doing well thanks ... For the most part. I am not sure of the growth rate, they have grown more since I put the Hamilton 14000k bulbs on.

The clown pair are at least 14 years old in my care. Got them as juveniles.

Tank looks good chuck. Thanks for the suggesion of the 14K Hami's. I got them last week and they look good, but still hard to get use to the difference of the radiums.

I'm running mine on a PFO pulse start Ballast works fine. They say the HQI makes the bulbs last longer don't know for a fact.

The tank looks great, Chuck. I'm always amazed at the growth. I see the new wrasse settled in nicely. :)

Chuck, I like this lighting on your reef tank. I may need to check into them when these run their course.

Corals look great under them. The wrasse sure shows up.. ;)

Thanks everyone.

Sue, I do really like this bulb. I have searched a lot for bulbs, and found this one finally. In my opinion it is the best color I have found. Not as bright as the 10000k ABs, not as blue as the Radiums, not as drab as the coravue, not as unpredictable as the XM ... haha ... I have tried a lot of them.

I would also say that to get the bets out of them, HQI ballast is the way to go. They may look too dim under a standard ballast.

yeah, that is my concern. i just ordered 2 of them but i have the standard pfo ballast. guess i'll probably order an hqi ballast if they are too dim.

Chuck, I may have to get in touch with you about what ballast etc. you're using. I am about to undertake the extreme makeover of the 180g and then put everything thats in my 120g into the 180g and get rid of the 120.

I want the 180g tank to be my reef tank but I want to have what I need lighting wise and these lights will have to be reliable. Otherwise I have all the equipment it's just been getting that tank back to ship shape from the crash.

Sue ... Not a problem ...

I use a PFO Dual HQI ballast (250W). If you need any further information beyond that, let me know, I can dig out part numbers or something like that for you.
