Recommended Protien Skimmer

What brand and type of Protien Skimmer do you recommend for my 55 gallon display (in sump)?

ASM G-1x is my recomended skimmer for that app. www.asmskimmer.com sells them modified to be even more efficent as a recirculating skimmer with a gate valve, and a feed pump. The needle wheel makes great bubbles and its a quality skimmer at a good price.

if you are on a budget, I have had good luck with a seaclone 100. i have to empty the cup every other day and so far it has been maitanence free.
some people have had problems with them but i haven't seen it.

I use an AquaC EV-120 on my 90 and I love it. For the price, I like Steve's choice with the ASM skimmers.

I went from a custom made downdraft to a ASM G5 for my 300gl best piece of equempment that i bought in a while it is one kick a%@ skimmer

Hey, I'm sure you've already decided, but I wanted to give one more thumbs up to the ASMs...I have four of them and if I were to need another skimmer tomorrow I'd buy a fifth!
