Red algae good or bad?

I have a fish only 120 gallon tank. my live rock has signiicant red algae on it. Any thoughts on if this is good or bad?

What do you mean by red algae, is it a red slime, a red calcium based algae, a red macro or large leafy algae?

Probley cyano bacteria. The best way to remove it is with a small diameter hose to siphon it out. A good way to keep it from coming back is to turkey baster your rocks and blow all the junk off of them. If you keep siphoning it and basting your rocks it will start to go away, if you add or redirect your power heads to blow on the rocks it usually helps it to disappear as well. HTH Steve
