red macro algae help??

hey everyone how goes it. i think i have some Kelp red algae (Rhodophyta) or Haliptilon roseum. i am thinking of using it in my refugium for export. anyone know anything about using this stuff??

prow - Haliptilon roseum is a branching coralline, as you have probably discovered. I don't know about its use in a refugium for export, because I'm not sure how well it does in comparison to other algaes in taking up excess nutrients. What do you currently have in your refugium that it would be competeing with?

i have red gracilaria but want to get something that will root or attach to something. the gracilaria i have is ogo and little peaces keep going in the overflow and while its tumbling it brushes the mud and fogs the tank.
