I'm looking at getting a small AIO tank setup and I've been looking at lots of small setups. However I have always wanted a Red Sea Max 130D due to its size and looks. Every once and a while I will see one on Craigslist but the last one I saw was asking too much. Anyway I wanted to see if there are any members locally that have one or did have one and what do you think of yours. I realize if I ask in a RSM forum all I will get is how great they are. I'm also looking at the BioCube 29 or JBJ 28 but am most interested in the RSM.

Thanks in advance!

I used to have a RSM 35gal and I liked it. It was a very easy tank to take care of. And the people at RSM are really nice and helpful if you need any help or parts. They are a pricey system, so I think they are probably worth what you have been seeing them for.

Yeah I saw a RSM 130 with some upgrades (no light upgrades) for $600 but then I see a 130D for $280 on eBay but not locally. Also I've seen several in the $200-$300 range on Craigslist, unfortunately they were all in SoCA.

Also I know RSM has the new 130C out so I might be able to score a new D for cheap. Any LFS carry RSM? I haven't had a salt tank in years and just getting back to it.

Always easy to find a BioCube used, I'm getting ready to sell list my 14g to make room for a bigger tank.

i don't know anyone local that stocks them, but i'm sure most could order them for you.... the aio tanks are nice, always seems you see folks having to modify them for stuff though, so they always ended up looking like more work to me. i haven't had one, its just my perception of it.

For me I want\like them for their looks and ease of use more than anything else.. true about moding them but then again thats half the fun, and everyone likes to tinker with their tanks regardless of what they have.

I currently have a couple AIO tanks, BioCube and Marineland Eclipse and I love them...and our Bengal (water crazy) cat cant get in them. ;-)
