So this morning I woke up and did my normal tank check, Make sure there are not any leaks, and I look at the overall happiness of my tank. So as I am looking through the sump I saw thousands upon thousands of little red swimmers floating around. So I thought I would be smart and get the boy's microscope out that just happens to be located next to the tank now. I noticed that they have a round red body with tenticles on the back side that seem to move. I could not get video of this but i did manage to get video of them swimming around. Hopefully this works.

Oh and they do not look anything like fish frye, I have had those in the tank before. If there is anyone out there that could possibly give some info on what this might be. I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyone out there have a guess on what this could be. I guess it could be plankton. I do not know how it got into there though. I have not added anything new to the system, do you think that the temperature swing could have caused a spawning of some sort. My tank has not gotten over 80 degrees but it usually sits at 78.

triggerpods maybe I know that if you get the Triggerpods from reef nutrition there small and red copeopods

Damn those KILLER PODS. I knew that the government was watching me. They are mutating into kid form as we speak, Holly crap they are every where. I can count five crazy kids already. Oh wait those are mine. Can I send them back with the attack jet.

I got a picture with the microscope. The dude looks angry. Here it is.

Definitely not shrimp. I have had my peppermint shrimp hatch and my mated pair of coral banded, definately look more like little jellyfish but solid, and red with tiny little hair like swimming appendages.

Yes my mandarin is happily cruising my display tank enjoying the constant feast of copepods. However these are not copepods, I am agreeing with SKIMMERWHISPERER with them being my very own aquacultured pods of death. If anyone would like some please let me know and I will be sure to send the jets your way.
