Reef Safe Fish list

I tend go by the philosophy that everything on the reef eats something on the reef.:)
This way your not too shocked when your favorite fish eats your favorite invert. Or vice versa. I still remember very clearly waking up on morning to see nothing but my cleaner shrimp's antenna sticking out of my bubble tip anemone. I loved that shrimp:( He was one of the first things in the tank when I set it up.
What kind of reef are we talking about? LPS, Softies, SPS, mix?

most things that are considered "not reef safe", either eat inverts or nip softies or clams. I agree with Chichas. Best to know what you want to keep and then research the fish individually. One reason something may not be reef safe is because it nips clams, which does not apply if you're keeping all stony corals. Good Luck
