Thanks, yeah I dove the Blue Hole last year on a family scuba excursion. It's rare to find someone that recognizes what it is.

I wouldn't call it a superman, this stuff is a lighter purple (not blue) with some red polyps. I have seen some similar stuff being called "grape danae" but who knows, all I can say for sure is that I think it's some type of danae. I just lost that piece (about 3" around the base) a few months ago but am getting a new frag of it back tomorrow. I had a faulty heater that toasted a few things late last fall before I bought a chiller. Things are just starting to color up again as shown in the "reef reflection" shot. Still some browns but hopefully not for long.
