I don't have room for a sump nor the finances to purchase all of the equipment to get one. I was looking at the CPR Aquafuge 2 HOB refugium. Does anyone have experience with one of these, and what are your thoughts?

I have used one in the past, they work fine, but you need to clean the return pump frequently, as it will get mucked up with stuff flowing out of the fuge. Also, because of the limited space in the actual partitioned refugium part, you need to thin out whatever macro you will be growing more frequently than normal due to limited space.

I ran a medium aquafuge on my Biocube 29. I had some sand and chaeto in the chamber. The chaeto grew like a weed under the CPR light. I thought it was a great addition to my tank.

I had looked at the Proflex 1 sump, but by the time I bought everything for it I am well over $400.00 and the refugium is much smaller, 4 1/2" x9 1/2", where as the CPR is 13" x 4 1/2" and much more affordable at about $169.00 thru BRS. Looked for used ones but not too many to be found.

Check eBay...I picked mine up on there with a light for $100. Then I sold it for the same amount a year later.
