Replacement Pump for PS-55 AE Skimmer

The pump for my AquaEuro PS-55 died and I was looking for a replacement pump, preferably one I could pickup at a local store. Doesn't have to be the stock pump but hopefully one that can be used with minimum modifications.

Any suggestions? If picking one up locally was impossible and I had to order one, what would be the BEST replacement to get?

You could try something like this

Or an otp1000 pump or you could pry use a meshmoded mj1200 you mod yourself as that would pry cost you $20.

well definately dont replace it with a new resun pump, they suck really bad...i would suggest the sedra 2500 w/pinwheel myself...

but a mesh modded maxijet for $20 like luke says would probably be pretty good for that skimmer body too.

also, is this the newer aqua euro 55 with the bubble plate and pump on it's side?

Heh, didn't realize you could use a mesh modded mj1200. I'll give that a try before ordering something. This is an older AE 55...no bubble plate
