ok tank has been up over a year now and have a bad break out of bryopsis so iam taking it sown to to cook the rock for a wile so i want to get my plumbing done right this

both in bottem are one inch drains witch one i dont even use now
right side of the tank down low in back and up high in front is returns 3/4 same on left side just high back low front
right side back high is a one 3/4 drain to fuge bottem middle of the tank in a 3/4 drian going trough a uv then to sump
top front left side is a 1 inch drain to sump so not a lot of drain to sump so i was getting more of my flow from closed loop

i now have to 1 1/2 drains on both sides at the top ear back of tank each one goes to a ampmaster 3000 pump
i have 3 sea swirls two 3/4 and one 1 inch also have a little giant pump being used for closed loop

here is all the room i have on ends i cant realy dop anything to back of tank but if i realy need to i will come up with something

Sorry, I can't help ya with flow ideas, but let me know if you need help tearing your tank down. Eventhough most of my rocks are less than 5 yrs, I think they need cooking too. THey're shedding lots of white dandruff ;)

forgot tank is 6 feet long 3 feet wide and 28 inches tall and please dont pick on my plumbing i hav now i can plumb a house but not a reef tank

LOL Bri looks good. Tell me what the restriction is with the back of the tank?? that would be the best way to go after things. What d we have to work with back thier. DO you have a picture of the area behind??

Mike

ok here is back side now and this is also in my bedroom but may be able to tak eth ewall down soon tring to get a room added to the house all depends if i can get the money

So Bri is thier any reason we cant punch throw the back with some plumbing....you could always use the pipe for hanging laundry to, lol

Mike

u show me how it needs to be i will pull th esheetrock down there is a 5 inch gap between the outside of sheetrock to back of tank

Bri give me the measures for the tank. height, front to back, depth. include the sides to.

almost got it just want to make sure

Ok Bri here is what I was thinking. first view is from the back, I just did a plan for the closed loops as discussed. We will use the existing inputs (1 1/2). On the pirst pipe coming out of the pump on bith loops use flex line to get the pipe to the manifolds. Refer to Nikki's or my tank design thread for the exact plumbing peices to be used.

the second pic is to give you an idea on how to direct the flow once it is in the tank.

take a peek and we can go from thier

Brian - here is the link to my plumbing thread...I have it on page three because that is where the pictures begin of drilling and plumbing parts: Some Plumbing for Nikki. If you need to see the diagram it is on page one. Inside tank plumbing is further in the thread - just scroll until you see pics.

Here is a link to Mike's tank: The Building of the Beast

Ok I found it bri. Its just to show you what plumbing parts to use to go through the back wall. Ignore the extender peice on this drawing, you would just put some locline in its place.
