Request: TDS Handheld meter recommendations?

Hello,

I just recently found this forum, great tips!!! I am looking to get started with my FOWLR tank in the next few months. I am looking to begin purchasing a few of the tools I will need to help me get started.

One of the tools I am looking to purchase is a TDS handheld meter, I found this unit at Amazon. Is this HM Digital TDS-3 Handheld a good one?

If not, what do you recommend?

Thank you in advance!

Jeff,

First, Welcome to RF...

I own this one too...good unit....while u r purchasing equipment, may I suggest getting the following book:

The Conscientious Marine Aquarist: A Commonsense Handbook for Successful Saltwater Hobbyists (Microcosm/T.F.H. Professional): Robert M. Fenner, Matthew L. Wittenrich, Scott W. Michael, Alf Jacob Nilsen, Christopher Turk: 9781890087999: Amazon.com: Bo

this is an excellent book....i have 18+ yrs in the hobby, and still use it....well, worth the money IMO...

it will answer most of your questions...

Thank you NC2WA for confirming this unit AND for your book suggestion, believe it or not... I saw your post yesterday recommending this book, I purchased it yesterday from BN.com. Thank you a second time for the recommendation!

I look forward to receiving it within the next week or so!

Cheers

Jeff
