Lets share info on Restaurants w/Saltwater Tanks and seating close up. I will start:

China Wok in Burlington, WA

Tank is built in the center island so 2 tables have direct views of the tank. Food is well worth the trip.

McDonalds Downtown Seattle - not wonderful but there none the less..

Amazing Tanks, HUGE columns, Massive Rocks/Fish everything in Rainforest Cafe in San Fran.

Went to China Wok tonight and of course sat by the tank. Really nice setup Ray. The notebook describing each inhabitant was really nice. Good recovery from the incident of a while back.

Not a restaurant but a hospital. Overlake Medical Center has some of the most beautifull saltwater fish-only tanks around. They have tank after tank after tank.

You guys might want to check out our monster 1900 gallon tank at the Triple Door at 3rd and Union under the Wild Ginger. It's fresh water planted but everytime I see it I still am amazed at the size.

PS
you can view it from the steet without having to pay for admission.

Gotta love that down town Mcdonalds tank lol! I was so surprised to see that a few weeks ago when I went in there after a concert.

There is a Fish Only tank in a Chinese Resturant next to north town in spokane. Big fish, decent lighting..

The McDonalds tank just totaly blew my mind.. its just so random, and at first i figured it had to be Freshwater.. but its not bad.. I wonder if they contract out or if they have someone who works there and they just take care of it too....

Restaurant in Oregon, has three 300 gallon tanks

In Fairview Oregon a new restaurant opened a couple of months back, with three 300 gallon saltwater tanks. They are actually end to end creating a 24' see through wall, between the restaurant and the bar. Each one is fish only. The restaurant is called Bumpers Grill and Bar.

Here in Durban, South Africa, a friend of mine has done reef and fish only installations in various restuarants. Due to my addiction to reefs, niether my family or my girlfriend wants to go to any of the places as all I'll do is stare at the tanks, now is that such a bad thing? :)

Curvball,

I guess that does kind of defeat the purpose of a romantic date. Being a woman, I can understand her point-of-view, but being a reefer, well....... ;)

I kind of wish my girl was a reefer but hey, my tank gives me the 'perfect alone time', especially in the upcoming weeks as my tank goes up:)

I don't know any locally, other than what was already listed, but when I was in Fort Lauderdale for MACNA a few years back I found a great place on the beach called "Margaritas." Good food, great margaritas and a 3,000 gallon tank! :D Schools of tangs and some huge soft corals were in the tank when I was there.

Here's a link in case you're interested.
Margaritas 3K tank
I think some of us need to volunteer to fly down and take some decent pics for them.... with the restaurant paying for the flight and the margaritas, of course!
