The silicone alone holds these tanks together? that freaks me out a bit.

Would I be safe with a DIY Rimless 30L x 24W x 24Tall? (75G)

Thanks :)

Wil at Reef Mystique is building some of his own rimless tanks. I asked him how the silicone holds them together he said he is using the same silicone that holds the windows in for sky scrapers so I guess it's pretty strong stuff.

Anyone know where to get glue like that?

You want to use thicker glass when making a rimless tank. The thicker glass gives the seams a lot more strength. Elos also does a special multi-piece glass bottom that allows the tank to flex slightly without putting stress on the side walls.
I second what BCT182 says about the jumpers though. I seem to be unluckier then most, but I have had five jumpers in my two years of ownership. Besides the jumpers, I have had no deaths.
