I barely installed my RO/DI system and from the hose that it was suppose to be the filtrered water it is really dirty and from the other end the water is clear is my system ok? also the "clear" water is dripping and dirty and the other end is alot much flow. the lady that I bougth it from say that it waste water was too much and she sell it for $40, a 5 stage system with new filters. so this is kind of stupid but I had never used a RO\DI system so the big flow is the filtered water or is the one that is dripping?

Thank you and sorry for the stupid question.

I maybe able to help can you get a photo of the system and also a Name on the system I will be able to help from there if the water is dirty something is not right.

Also is normal that the waste water is that much is like 99% waste.

no thats too much waste these are cheap systems I do have the same one as the system is only as good as it's filters anyways I will search and get you a scmadic to make sure all the lines are going the correct direction. then we can trouble shoot from there.

I just check and the water is clear but is normal that it waste that much water? I am going to spend more with this that if I go to buy it to the aquarium is like 5GL per $1.

ok i will do that, and do you think that I can use tap water to start the cycle on my fish tank? I think that is cheaper and faster.

yes I would get distilled water it will also read 0ppm. it could get costly does any LFS sell water there? being I am not from the area I am not sure who sells what there. but distilled is the best choice rather then the filtered water unless they are properly maintained.

I would also get a bottle of Macrobat7 by brightwell it will also speed the Cycle process up. but make sure you do constant testing ammonia and nitrate and nitrite.

you could use tap water but not advised as it may cause a algea bloom in the tank. depends on how the tds on the tap water is but distilled or RODI would be best RO can be used but I look at it the same as tap. the main goal is 0 ppm on the tds meter...

First off no to Tap water, learn to have patients otherwise you'll never succeed in this hobby. Second, if you have all new filters & membrane, then it takes a while for the Ro membrane to fully saturate then it will start producing more water, so run it & give it time. How much GPH is the membrane rated for, also as mentioned you need to know the input water pressure, most optimal minimum is actually 55psi or more input.
Adding Macrobat7 is not necessary, I would not recommend using gimmick additives.
