Rocks turning yellow?

It wasn't clear but your having more than one question answered here, LR color, white stuff, & possible cycling or needs improved husbandry. To me those rocks look like they were sitting up in the dark a while but you say they come from an established tank that was up & running right? Then you just put new lights on this tank, so that there will affect things also. I'd say keep your improvements going & let things mature a while, keep learning in the meantime, it will get better.

I pulled the rocks out of the tanks myself. Like i said some of them were barried under other rocks so i dont think any light was getting to them like AT ALL. But the house was very dark and it was hard to see what i was looking at, i just wanted to get the rock and go. ;)

I just wanted to make sure it wasnt something that i needed to take care of, or something that was going to hurt my tank!
