Oh, shut-off valve, humm, try and bypass that valve and see how much you make before it, you may have problems with that, I didn't see anywhere where you mentioned that, we may need to take a step back and thoroughly go over your system to figure this problem out, if you don't mind. Did you ever get a pressure reading directly out from your water supply, & once installed this pump, what is the pressure coming out of it. It seems like we are missing something here, it may be small but it may go as far as requiring photos, and through details to get you in good shape, we may all learn from this. I know it can be frustrating with these, I know I was for some time with mine.

I have hooked up the pump and still not very much pressure coming out of the shut off valve. Let me ask you something if all you need to take out is the chlorine then do you really need to have the reverse osmosis element in the rodi unit or just use the carbon to do the job and by pass the reverse osmosis?

Need answers to questions in post No. 17 above to start getting you some concrete help.

Carbon should take care of nearly all the chlorine. Chlorine is actually bad for most RODI membranes...Collin

Danny had a water main bust out near his house. His water was coming into the house brown, the prefilter is brown, I have a case of all filters and I am going to his house this sunday to see what we can do. I assume (I know ass u me) lol that it cloged every thing up.
He had a guy out that does whole house ro systems trying to sell him one of those telling him if all he wants out is cholrine to take out the ro membrame, and that nobody makes a 100 gpd system.
I am going to take my tds meter and a pressure gauge out on sunday If we can not get it to function all pertanant data will be posted then. As it stands now I dont know what is wrong but he lives a 1.5 away and that is the soonest I can get out to help him.
On a side note. The 240 gallon tank he just got is pretty damn cool. He ordered over 250 lbs of rock today to cure out in the garage, in a big huge tub.
The lighting is going to be 4 250 watt mh, and 4 110 watt vho.

with fine kentucky clay and silt

OK tds after the 4 stages plus the ro membrane and the deion cartridge is, drum roll please. 45 booo hiss booo. tds prior to the ro membrane after 3 filters is 240. tds at tap is 265. The ro membrane is brown and you can feel the stuff like sand paper coating the outside. It is a very chincy system, The only thing that holds the 3 prefilters together is nylon threaded inserts. My opinion of the system is junk. Danny ordered one just like mine. Which with tap water of around 245 lets me have a 000 tds reading. As a added benifit it costed less than a replacement membrane and deionzation cartridge. And it comes with a refillable deion cart, plus 4 extra deion refills. Aquasafe Canada. Good stuff. Just happened to be on ebay for 69$ I had to bid against somebody and paid 117$ for the exact same system. I have a photo if anyone wants to see one. Any body want to buy a used rodi system? needs filter cartridges. LOL the one he is getting is a 6 stage rodi metal braquet for the 3 prefilters and is very nice. just a update. Steve

you should've just went to his online store and you could've bought it for the 69.00 price without bidding against anyone. he always has a ton of them for sale on e-bay.

he has the 6 stage with the pressurized tank, needle valve, automatic shut off valve and a couple other extras for 69.00 - 87.50

I know Matt, I am a dumba@# sometimes. I got mine a while back and didnt know any better. It was the second thing I had ever bought on ebay. LOL. You live and learn. However since I charge 50 cent a gallon for rodi water and go through about 100-150 gallon a week doing water changes for people, I think it was a good investment at any cost. LOL you do the math. Hey you guys watch steve he will fool you make you think he is getting bad deals when he gives them. He suckered my into buying $50 worth of his rodi filters telling me that was my problem and still same problem. HA!HA!HA! Hope you like that steve. Just kidding he is an ok guy when he aint around. By the way steve if you read this your going to have to stop shopping with my money on my system and can not afford you and mojoreef either. I am going to have to file bankruptcy before to long if i fool around with you two guys much longer. I believe you two could sell ice to the eskimos if there were any around. HUH? lol Sorry it didnt work You will have to admit that the other filters were bad. I mean brown, and cloged with silt. Its not my fault you live in a county that cant get thier water pipes to keep water in and dirt out. LOL. You could always move to Bowling Green, were uptown here. LOL I told you when you started it was better not to think about how much it was going to cost. When somebody says anything about price you just have to put your fingers in your ears and go LALALALALALLALAL. LOL Oh and just think how much more convienent it is to have a ice maker, imagine your poor wife going outside 30 below zero chipping ice off that lake, she could be lost, eating by a polar bear, you wouldnt want that. would you? Now if you invest your money in this here handy dandy chrome and stainless ice maker you will never have to worry about losing your beautiful wife to a polar bear as she goes out into freezing cold just to get you a piece of ice for your drink.
