RODI UNIT?

The unit in your picture is just a RO system you can add a DI canister to it easily and they aren't to expensive. You also need to get a TDS meter to measure the output water to determine when you need to change membranes and DI cartridges.

Well I added a flow regulator to the end of the waste water to slow it down. But I don't know what to set it at. I open it about half way and get the 4-1 ratio but 'm not sure it's filtering the water the same way. I mean I can close it all the way and then water just passes thru the clean water side. I think I'm just going to sell this kit for dirt and buy a new kit that works out of the box with minimum setup needed.

there should be a little tiny flow re-stricter in one of the water lines. I forget which one so you might be best to call the manufacture. Just explain to them it was a family members and you are trying to get it going.

In most cases they will help you.

I am sorry I thought this was an RO/DI unit.
