Salifert ALK Question?????

i bought a Salifert \Kh/Alk testing kit... the instructions only tell how to test using the Kh solution.. there are 2 Kh solutions in the kit.. there is also one bottle of Alk solution.. the instructions don't mention anything about the Alk test solution.. what is it for??
