Salts & Test Kits

I was wondering what brands of salt most people use and what people dont rec. for reason. From What ive gathered most people like Instant Ocean?

My other quetion is, what brand test kits, i know what test to get (ex.Amm,Nit) but what brand do people use?

If You Go With Instant Ocean You Cant Go Wrong. And If You Use Salfert Tests They Are The Best.

I use Instant Ocean salt.....Trust their reputation for being around for so long, and seems to be recommended the most.

I use Salifert test kits. I think their somewhat easy to use and understand once you get the hang of it after a few times.

IO & Saliflert, not looking back, already went through enough headaches trying to switch, when I really didn't need to.

Instant Ocean and Salifert, Im starting to see a pattern here. LOL except Charlie and Dwaine had to screw it all up. LOL IO works great for me, and I have bought alot of different kits, I dont buy any thing other than salifert now. Look on ebay for salifert kits I find them all the time and save lots o money that way. HTH Steve

Oceanic and Salifert. Freind uses I.O and local fish store uses Kent. Dave

I use MN salt. MN aka Mother Nature. I have used IO in the past with excellent results. I've read lots of negative posts about Oceanic salt, but also know people who like it and even an LFS that uses it. Reason why I mentioned the big O is it is usually much cheaper than other brands, so it has found its way into a lot of tanks. You may want to read up on it. Also another vote for Salifert.
