So I figured I'd throw a few pictures up. Nothing fancy, but hopefully I'll be adding some sweet stuff soon, just gonna say thanks now for any info!

Looking nice man. Looks like everyone is getting along just fine.

Thanks, just talked to TJL and he gave me an idea about what might be happening with my algae, so hopefully I can get that cleaned up and get a few more coral in there

Great pics. The powder blue is really pretty. It lookd pretty tiny yet. Bet its really cute!

Thanks guys! The powder blue is one of my favorite fish, owned that one for about 1.5 years now, and the it is still fairly small, but the pictures is kind of deceiving because the clowns I've had for about 7 years so they have some size to them! The coralline is great but it can get a little out of control!

Some updated pictures.

Think its time for a RBTA!

AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! Woke up this morning to find a few gallons of water on the floor. Turns out my tank has chosen now to start to fail, looks like it may be leaking on the bottom. I'm at a loss for what to do! All fish an coral into my qt tank I guess till I can find a new tank?

Wow! That sucks man! You can either buy a new tank or re-seal this one. A lot of people re-seal their tanks all the time. Huge bummer! Was the tank lifted with stuff in it any point?

The tank has been pretty stationary for the last 2 years, BUT this is my original tank I bought to get into the hobby and I have moved it about 10 times in 10 years so I'm sure at some point it got lifted impropperly. I just wonder if the warmer weather that the Seattle area has gotten had something to do with it.

Sorry to hear about your leak.
Do you have a plan??
How big is your QT?
Do you need a temp tank until you get the back up plan in motion?
I have a 30 gal and a 65 gal that can be lent out if you need.

Thank you so much for the concern, but I think I have it taken care of. Ended up snagging TJL's 75 he had and am in the process right now of moving everything out of my old tank into various buckets and my qt tank and then moving the new tank into position and moving everything back. I'm hoping I can do this all with out any kind of hitch and without disturbing my bio load to much. I'll keep everyone posted on how the move goes, gonna be a long day today.

So the new 75 has been set up and running for a almost a week now, got some liverock, some of the crushed coral, and my old bio balls into the new system. Added a chromi and both clowns. Everything seems to be fine, except phospates are floating around .25 mg/l and nitrates are 10. Are these levels ok, I'm assuming the tank is going through a mini cycle. Do I need both to be to 0 before I add the rest of the livestock? Got a few new frags from TJL too, they will be in the qt tank a while longer. Nitrites and ammonia appear to be 0. I did add a thin layer of sand, not live sand, over the crushed coral, will the good bacteria survive?

I need to get a skimmer on there too, the old setup I had wont work. I know that will improve the situation as well.

Small update, tank is still fish only, coral will have to tough it out in qt for 2 more months at my estimates. Most rock has been pulled out of DT, small amount left in to aid in filtration. The plan is to bleach the display pieces I pulled out and scrub and rinse them real good. After the bleach evaps, put them into a big container of saltwater with a powerhead, heater, and a lid, do some water changes, add some bacteria to seed them, and by my estimate in about 2 months I should have good sterile live rock ready for my DT. Sounds to simple to me, so where is the major flaw I'm not seeing?

Just built this easy lantern style hood to hide the LED's on my qt, just thought I'd share.
