Don's right! Stuff Happens!!! If life had no complications it would be pretty boring. At least Ilham noticed before it burst and is keeping it braced, and Tom, it's great you are getting a replacement to him so quickly. Things could have been a lot worse

I made it. I have no idea what went wrong with this tank. I have several projects that are pushing 3 years old that have no problems. Hopefully elmo's tank will be ready to go by friday so he can swap it out.

Yeah, that's the way if goes I guess. I think we've all done things by the book before and still had surprises! Hope everything works out for the best.

well at least you're becoming an expert on plumbing everything... not like me that doesn't have a clue on how to do it ... besides the accidents can only help you to do better :)

Well...I personally don't think it was lack of bad craftsmanship or anything on Tom's part. Tom knows his stuff which is obvious and I'd still trust Tom any day to build me a tank hands down:)

That's an understatement to say the least...I am 28years old, my parents never drank alcohol in their lives or ever smoked or did any kind of drugs and I'm stuck with 2 permanent baby teeth! Two x-rays confirmed it too! It was funny when I had braces put on a few years ago but luckily they are at the bottom and you can't notice it. Together they look like just one tooth:lol:

LMBO!!! hey dood can i see the teeth? :D

Hey Tom I hear a Mercedes is a pretty good car, but I'll bet something breaks on one every once in awhile. From what I hear, you build a quality product. By the way buddy I need a sump built ;)

Yea thats a weird one the joints were so clear, they looked really good to me. Their are so many variables with glueing though you never really know, moisture, humidity, temp and so on can make a big difference. Elmo did you ever move this tank??

Mike

Oh, that stinks! Stop by my house after work and borrow one of my tanks! I have a 20 gallon "long" and some others that you could use for a while if you wanted to. PM me with your phone number if you are interested. (We live in Burien/White center.
Good luck
Julia

P.S. I despise acrylic! (Ok, it is great until it comes apart at the seams). :)

Hi guys. Thank you for the generous offers of letting me borrow your extra tanks. The current tank is holding on, and I am just waiting to swap it with a new one that will be done soon.

Mike, the tank has never been moved, and always been on a leveled surface. I found it shocking to see this, and I wish it would have never happened. It's a great tank and is unfortunate it has come to this, and I just hope the inhabitants will make the transition ok.

If all goes well, I will try to swap it out Saturday.

Best,
Ilham
